This sweet little guy is the pug in posypug. A year ago this month we adopted a 4 year old little pug from Central Coast Pug Rescue. He was relinquished to the pug rescue by a family in the Fresno CA area who could not give him the time and attention he deserves. Apparently he was kept 24/7 in a concrete enclosure in the backyard with a bunch of large dogs.
When my teenage son and I picked him up in Fresno, my son took one look at his serious little face and declared that his name “Cooper” did not suit him. Alan dubbed him Tiberius. His sweet nature had me giving him the nickname Tibbie.
Tibbie is a friendly, loving little fellow and adapted to his new home easily. He is a typical “velcro” pug and always sticks close to his people. He is always in a lap, or sitting where he can watch all the action in the house. The unusual thing about Tibbie is that he almost never barks. He DID NOT bark once for the first six months he lived with us. Now he only barks in excitement as response to certain words / cues from us such as “foodie” and “walkie walkie”. He never barks at other dogs or strange noises. He does do the puggy grumble though.
If you interested in pugs, there are a lot of great pug rescue organizations around. In our area of California, the Central Coast Pug Rescue is great. Their website is helppugs.com
